JON FERGUSON, CFA, CIO

Jon Ferguson's Photo Jon Ferguson is the Chief Investment Officer of FIC Capital, Inc. and has served in this role at FIC Capital (formerly Ferguson Investment Consultants, Inc.) since 2002, spearheading equity and fixed income research, setting investment and portfolio strategy, and overseeing client relationships.

Prior to joining FIC Capital, Jon worked at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, where he was responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending equity investments across multiple industry sectors for Merrill’s Small Cap Growth mutual fund. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Jon worked in the research department of various top-tier Wall Street firms. He was a Research Associate for Credit Suisse First Boston’s Energy Group in 1999. From 1997 to 1999, he was an Analyst for Schroders covering small capitalization capital goods companies. From 1996 to 1997, Jon was an Analyst at NatWest Securities covering small capitalization aerospace & defense and capital goods companies. From 1995 to 1996, he was an Analyst at Value Line, Inc. with coverage responsibilities spanning consumer products to technology, healthcare, and specialty finance. Jon received an M.B.A. in Finance with honors and distinction from NYU Stern School of Business in 2000. He graduated from SUNY Binghamton in 1995, receiving a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in Mathematics, and is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.

Jon is the proud father of twin sons, and is an avid snowboarder and hockey player.



FRANK REDICAN, Senior Portfolio Manager

Frank Redican is a Senior Portfolio Manager at FIC Capital, Inc. His primary responsibilities include equity research, setting investment and portfolio strategy, and overseeing client relationships. Prior to joining with FIC Capital in 2010, Frank was the President of Redican Asset Management. From 1980 up until the time he starting his own company in 2001, Frank worked as a Stockbroker and later as a Portfolio Manager at Josephthal & Co.

Frank graduated with an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and a BS from St. John's University.

Frank grew up and maintains his primary residence in Upstate New York. During winter months, he much prefers the warm weather of Puerto Rico, where he often vacations.





DEREK EVANS, EVP - Business Strategy, CFO

Derek Evans' Photo Derek Evans is the Executive Vice President of Business Strategy, as well as the Chief Financial Officer for FIC Capital, Inc. His primary responsibilities include corporate strategy, financial planning and analysis, marketing communications, business development, and ensuring operational effectiveness.

Prior to joining FIC Capital in 2007, Derek was a Principal at kasina, a strategy consulting firm serving the asset management sector. At kasina, he was involved in the management of the company, as well as providing strategic insight and guidance to senior executives of several high-profile asset managers. He has served as a speaker and panelist at several industry conferences, and was often sought by industry publications for comment on relevant issues. Having joined kasina only a year after its formation in 1999, Derek had a major impact in building the start-up venture into a viable and successful business entity.

Prior to joining kasina, Derek worked for an e-Commerce start-up in the financial services industry, the Financial Planning and Analysis department of AlliedSignal (now Honeywell), and ERM, a leading environmental engineering firm.

In addition to his business endeavors, Derek looks for ways to be more active in socially responsible initiatives. He is a founder of the kasina Youth Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to innovating and improving the education of children. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Kids for Tomorrow and the Consulting Advisory Board for Youth, I.N.C. Derek has also served on the Benefit Committee and as a volunteer for DreamYard, and has supported various other New York Community and national programs, including the "I Have a Dream" Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Derek graduated with Highest Honors from Colgate University in 1992. He was a merit-based scholarship recipient at Pennsylvania State University and NYU’s Stern School of Business, where he received a M.S. (1995) and M.B.A. (2000), respectively. At Stern, Derek majored in Finance and Information Technology.

Derek grew up in Massachusetts and the back woods of New Hampshire, in an environment where pets outnumbered family members. He has lived in several neighborhoods in New York City over the last 12 years. He enjoys playing almost any sport and often dreams of plowing through several feet of untouched powder on ski mountains in the Western US.





LARRY WATERHOUSE, EVP - Client Relations

Larry Waterhouse's Photo Larry Waterhouse is the Executive Vice President of Client Relations for FIC Capital, Inc. His primary responsibilities include managing client relationships, marketing, and business development.

Prior to joining with FIC Capital in 2010, Larry was the Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at Redican Asset Management. Prior to joining Frank at Redican in 2001, Larry was also at Josephthal & Co. From 1991 to 1996, Larry worked as a Stockbroker at Waterhouse Securities, before his division was bought by TD Bank to become TD Waterhouse, where he then served as a First Vice President until 2000.

Larry graduated with a BA from the University of Colorado in 1989.

Larry grew up in Westchester, NY and enjoys vacationing on Lake George with his wife and kids.
